Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, while we always try to accommodate walk-ins, we ask that you make a reservation to guarantee an appointment at the time that you wish. We’re also happy to take group reservations, but we suggest giving us a call several weeks in advance to ensure you get exactly what you’d like. We also recommend making a reservation to reserve the couples suite.

What should I bring with me?

We provide everything you need to relax and enjoy your spa experience. We’ll give you a complimentary locker to store your belongings and a robe and slippers to lounge in.

What should I wear during my massage?

It’s completely a matter of personal preference. Many guests choose to disrobe completely, whereas others prefer to leave their undergarments on. Either way, our massage therapists are professionally trained to keep your body entirely covered throughout the massage, aside from the area being worked on, to ensure your privacy.

ACUPUNCTURE BENEFIT FOR INFERTILITY

VA CARE

Holistic Health Care is proud to announce that we are now providing medical care to members of the VA. Acupuncture has been increasingly recognized as a complementary therapy that can benefit veterans, particularly those dealing with chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health issues. Here’s how acupuncture can help veterans:

Pain Management

Many veterans suffer from chronic pain, often related to injuries sustained during military service. Acupuncture has been shown to effectively alleviate various types of pain, including musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and headaches. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture can help reduce pain perception and promote relaxation.

Stress Reduction

Veterans often experience high levels of stress, anxiety, and PTSD related to their experiences. Acupuncture has been found to help regulate the body’s stress response by promoting the release of neurotransmitters like endorphins and serotonin, which can induce a sense of calm and relaxation. This can be particularly beneficial for veterans struggling with PTSD symptoms.

Improved Sleep

Sleep disturbances are common among veterans, whether due to PTSD, chronic pain, or other factors. Acupuncture may help improve sleep quality by regulating the body’s circadian rhythm and promoting relaxation. By addressing underlying issues contributing to sleep disturbances, acupuncture can help veterans achieve better restorative sleep.

Reduced Medication Dependence

Many veterans rely on medications, such as opioids or psychotropic drugs, to manage pain and mental health symptoms. Acupuncture offers a non-pharmacological approach to symptom management, potentially reducing the need for medications and their associated side effects. This can be particularly important in combating the opioid epidemic and addressing concerns about medication dependency.

Enhanced Overall Well-being

Acupuncture is a holistic therapy that aims to restore balance and harmony within the body. Beyond addressing specific symptoms, acupuncture treatments can improve overall well-being by promoting relaxation, reducing inflammation, and enhancing the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Veterans may experience improved mood, energy levels, and resilience as a result of regular acupuncture sessions.

Complementary to Traditional Treatments

Acupuncture can complement conventional treatments offered by the VA healthcare system, including medication, psychotherapy, and physical therapy. Integrating acupuncture into a comprehensive treatment plan can enhance the effectiveness of conventional therapies and provide veterans with additional tools for managing their symptoms.
